At this time, we are not taking walk-in’s at all. For your health, and ours, no one is allowed in the store without at appointment. With that being said, our staff are super busy helping customers who have made appointments, as well as customers who have purchased bikes and gear from us online. And we’d like to help you! Do you need a bike, bike parts or accessories, or a bike repair? Please keep reading for how to get help…
For Bike Repairs
As of this writing, we’re not yet doing Bicycle Tune Ups or Major Bike Repairs. We’re doing Minor Bike Repairs only. That means: if your bike is basically road worthy except for one or two issues, we can fix those one or two issues. You will need to make an appointment, though. Make an appointment here.
When you make your appointment, you will pay a small deposit, which will be applied to any purchase you make in the store. Be aware that if you bring us a bike that is not serviceable at all, such as a bike with a broken frame, we will not be able to refund your deposit. If you have any questions about whether or not we’ll be able to repair your bike, please email Joe, our Service Manager, and include pictures.
To Air Up Your Tires
The more things change, the more they stay the same. If your bike tires just need some air, you can come and use our automatic air hose or our manual floor pump whenever we are in the store. With that said, these tools are self service. Self Service! That means you use them… by yourself! If you don’t know how to pump up your own tires, it’s really not hard. Let today be the day that your learn. Articles like this one on Bicycling Magazine or this one on Wikihow break down the process for you into teeny tiny steps. And if you don’t want to rely on the community bike pump that 100 strangers have touched today, why not buy a decent floor pump of your very own? Our pick for the best inexpensive floor pump for the home user is the Giant Control Tower 3, which you can buy on our website.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, our bicycle stocks are getting a little low. We will probably sell out of our most budget friendly models and commonly-needed sizes within the next couple of weeks. If you are in the market for a new bike, you should buy one soon. To buy a bike, you have three choices:
1) Make an Appointment
Make an appointment on our website to come in to the store and work with Nogga, our super star salesperson. When you make an appointment, you can choose “Shop for a Bicycle (When You Know What You Want),” which will get you an hour of Nogga’s time, or “Shop for a Bicycle (When You Don’t Know What You Want),” which will get you half an hour. In either case, when you make your appointment, you will pay a small deposit, which we will apply to any purchase you make in the store. If you come in to your appointment but you decide not to purchase a bike at all, you can still use your deposit towards useful bike gear, or save it on your customer account with us for future use.
When you make your appointment, you will see a field where you can make notes. If you can, make a note of your height and your riding goals to help us get just the right bike for you.
2) Buy on Our Website
If you are confident making a choice with minimal assistance from a human being, shop for a bicycle on our website. When you complete the check out process, select “In Store Pick Up” for your order fulfillment option. When we receive your order, we’ll build your bike, and then call you to let you know that it’s ready to pick up. At that point you can come to the store and get it!
3) Buy on Our Manufacturers’ Websites
If you’re a confident bike buyer, you can also buy a bike directly from our major supplier brands: Giant Bicycles, Liv Bicycles, and Momentum Bicycles. When you buy a bike from any of these brands online, and choose our store as your local retailer for order fulfillment, you are actually buying the bike from us. When you complete the checkout process you will be given the option to select in store pick up, or local delivery within a 3 mile radius for an additional $50. In either case, when we receive your order, we’ll build your bike, and then call you, either to let you know that it’s ready to pick up, or to schedule home delivery.
Edit 05/21/2020: Giant/Liv/Momentum Bikes is offering customers free local delivery on bikes purchased through their websites. This is a limited time offer. We don’t set the delivery price for bikes ordered through our supplier brands.

Make an appointment on our website to come in to the store and work with Nogga, our super star salesperson. When you make an appointment, choose “Shop for Bicycle Accessories,” which will get you 15 minutes of his time. When you make your appointment, you will see a field where you can make notes. If you can, make a note of what you’re looking for to help us get just the right gear for you.
2) Buy on our Website
If you are confident making a choice with minimal assistance from a human being, shop for bicycle accessories on our website. When you complete the check out process, you can select “In Store Pick Up” or you can have your items shipped. Ground Shipping is free on orders over $50. When we receive your order, we’ll gather up your items, and if you’ve opted to pick your items up at the store, we’ll call you to let you know that your order is ready. Otherwise we will ship your order to you within 24 hours. After that it’s in the hands of the freight gods, so pray hard and often.
3) Shoot us an Email
If you can’t find what you need on our website, we still want to help. You might need something that’s in the store but not listed on the website, or something from our massive catalog of special order items. Email us for more assistance, and we will do our best to find what you need!
For Gift Cards
We just got some verrrrrry pretty gift cards made for our shop by Plastic Printers. Get a load of this. Isn’t this gorgeous?
To buy a gift card, just email us and let us know (1) Your Name (2) The Amount of the Gift Card -and- (3) The Gift Card Recipient’s Name and Address. We’ll send you a digital invoice that you can pay online, and we’ll mail the gift card to your recipient. After that, they can use the gift card on any purchase in our store, now or in the future.
Some General Points of Order
No one is allowed into the store without an appointment.
If you have an appointment, when you arrive at the store you will find that our door is locked. At that point, call us at (718) 668-5224 and we will let in your bike (if you have an appointment for bike service) or your self (if you have an appointment for sales).
When you are waiting outside the store, please keep our doorway clear, so that our staff can have 6 feet of personal space when they exit.
Due to the pandemic, please allow additional time for us to help you. What used to take a minute now takes a day; what used to take a day now takes a week. We don’t like it any more than you do.
Bikes are a social distant tool for transportation and exercise, but they are not as socially distant as staying home. If you can, stay home, and stop the spread of the coronavirus.
